Sample Lines

Sample Lines

Explore our range of sample lines designed for efficient and reliable sampling in various applications. Our umbilical cables and lines provide robust connections for simultaneous fluid transfer and data transmission, ensuring seamless operation. The heated sample lines are engineered to maintain temperature control, preventing condensation and ensuring sample integrity. Our gas sampling lines are specifically designed for accurate gas collection in environmental monitoring and industrial settings.

Umbilical Cables – Lines

Standard Umbilicals: The lightweight, easy-to-repair umbilical cable includes one kink-free sample line, 3 kink-resistant polyethylene lines (2 pitot and 1 Orsat line), 6 type-K thermocouple extensions, and five conductor electrical cable with 4-pin circular connectors. Thermocouple plugs are colored-coded. The sample line has 1/2 inch quick connect and the pitot lines have 1/4 inch quick connects standard (3/8 inch optional). U-bag included.

Split Umbilicals: Split Umbilical Cables are designed for added versatility for use in rigid and flexible configurations. They are constructed with the sample line and exit thermocouple split to the specified length. Split umbilicals are used in flexible systems where the filter compartment is separated from the impinger box with a flexible sample line as in Method 17, Flexible Method 5 and Compact Method 5 configurations. The umbilical lengths are specified according to overall length. Comes with standard stainless steel quick connects. Cable comes with large portable canvas bag with straps.

Heated Sample Lines

Apex Instruments Lightweight Heated Sample Lines are designed for the professional stack tester that needs a ruggedized line in a lightweight package. The standard core includes one 3/8-inch PFA tube for the sample and one 1/4- inch tube for introducing calibration gas at the probe. The line can be regulated using one of our external temperature controllers utilizing the built-in thermocouple for temperature regulation. Our HSL consists of proprietary termination cufss, a woven internal core and a corrugated protective sleeve.

Gas Sample Lines

Unheated Sample Line jumpers are used between the filter and the first impinger in “flexible” sampling arrangements. Jumpers are available in various lengths and configurations.

Stainless steel overbraid 3/8″ ID PFA tubing is standard. For custom umbilical lines, use the Part Number Configuration Legend and have your custom part number ready when you contact an Apex Instruments sales representative.
