Description

If sampling is located outside and isin inconvenient locations, a calculator is difficult if not impossible to use. In the haste of preparing to sample, mistakes are easily made using the equations. Also a ready reference is needed to correlate the pitot tube AP with the required orifice meter AH setting. A calculator is nconvenient for this purpose. As a result of these problems, a manual slide rule calculator was developed that is simple to operate and easily understood. It can be used to find both proper nozzle size and sampling rate. When the calculation of K factor is complete, the slide can be locked into place and the AP and AH scales are properly aligned for isokinetic sampling.
